| Bankruptcy Counseling
Teacher: HLS Administrator
| Welcome to our Bankruptcy Pre-Filing Credit Counseling program. The purposes of this course are to:
- Help you evaluate your financial situation and the resolution options you have and their consequences;
- Help you make a decision as to which resolution option to choose;
- Help you understand the legal bankruptcy system (e.g. the processes); and
- Meet the legal credit counseling requirements of the law.
|
In the end you should be able to "objectively" evaluate your current financial situation, compare it to the options that are available to you; and make the "best" financial decision for you and your family (see the diagram below). Along the way you will gain a clearer picture of what each option can really do for you and of the consequences of each option. Things are never as simple as they seem or as some may tell you. This course or some other form of credit counseling must be taken within 180 days of filing bankruptcy. |

CHILDREN & YOUTH IN A SCARY WORLD
Teacher: Rob Niles
| Parents are often fearful for their children’s future. Professionals and others who work with children and youth share this anxiety. The concern of parents and caregivers is understandable. The statistics for suicide, school crime, gang involvement, substance abuse, school drop-out rates, unwanted teen pregnancies, and many other issues send chills down the backs of those who love children. The daily news report validates the reasons for their worry. |
